Kari Kate and I got along from the second she walked into my studio. She wandered around until she decided to hop up on my cozy, white bed. We listened to her favorite music, giggled and blew bubbles. This is why I love being able to offer posed, studio light sessions OR fun natural light sessions. Every child is different and my goal is to get them to open up and feel at ease in my home studio. The second Kari Kate walked around, checking everything out, I knew she would love the more laid back, natural type of session. She loved watching her favorite music videos (above my camera - ahem - best camera trick ever!) and looking at all the bubbles dance around my white studio. I love that each of these photos represents a different side of her personality. Silly, serious, tired, and curious. Her mom had something very special to say when she received her gallery:

Not going to lie, this first photo happened because I started playing a music video on her mom's phone. I love when kids can be real; I can capture them looking natural and at peace.
Her mom and I jumped a lot, and busted into a dancing sweat - all to get these giggles. Totally worth it!
I love, LOVE this in black and white. She looks so full of wonder and peace. Let's not forget that candy is sometimes a must during child portrait sessions. Hah!
Someone was getting cozy and sleepy. I let her cuddle my newborn teddy bear prop.
There is something so timeless about this last photo. It was the last photo I took that day. She was completely tired, but still wanting to sit on my bed. Her little leg tucked back, holding her foot. If I were her mama this would be one of my favorites!
