Arowyn's Central Ohio Newborn Photo Session

Arowyn's Central Ohio Newborn Photo Session

Columbus Ohio Newborn Photographer

Baby Arowyn’s mom emailed me to schedule her second daughter’s newborn session. She loved my style of using a lot of whites and natural poses. I was able to schedule her on the calendar right away and we got to planning her session.

She had a lot of really lovely ideas and had a really timeless style. One of her ideas involved bringing a purple quilt made by a family member. She wanted to incorporate it somehow, so I told her to bring it along and I would design a setup using the blanket. It’s important to me that you LOVE your images, and if that means you bring along a sentimental heirloom-so be it! I don’t typically use purple but I truly believe in making my clients happy and I know this mama’s heart was so excited to see this quilt in her daughter’s portraits. You’ll see the image at the end of this blog post! Take a look!

Big sister was such a sweetie pie and had no issues posing with her little sister. Her eyes just sparkled in the sibling portrait. I know for second or third time parents, sibling photos are possibly the MOST important photo for me to capture. For that reason, I typically attempt them first while your other children are still adjusting to their surroundings and may be a bit easier to photograph. Kiddos usually listen to me and can be a bit shy-but this is a good thing! It usually means they behave well and we get the sibling photos completed a lot quicker. Also, I am all about bribes. I keep toddler-friendly snacks on hand in the studio to give them once they “do a good job” and smile for me.

Baby Arowyn did a wonderful job sleeping for me, but we also got a few awake shots with her big, brown eyes! Along with sibling portraits, I know a lot of parents dream of having at least one awake photo of their new baby. For some photographers, an awake baby means a lot more work. But I see it as something to embrace. Awake photos bring life and variety to your online photo gallery! And they usually end up making the cut for baby announcements or framed prints on your walls at home.

I loved seeing this beautiful little one and can’t wait to see her grow up with a possible baby milestone session. Here are my favorite shots of baby Arowyn’s newborn photography session in my Grove City, Ohio studio!
