Meet Charlie and his parents.
Can you see Charlie peeking his eyes open at me?
I met Jordan and Diana earlier this summer when they added on a mini maternity session to their newborn package. They're so kind and down to earth. The kind of people you want to photograph and simply be in their presence.
There is something I love so much about mothers holding their babies this way. Almost instantly after posing them I see each mom leaning in to snuggle and breathe in their baby without me asking. These are some of my favorite studio photos to take. Mom. Baby. Glowing with joy.
I just love these next few photos of Charlie and his dad. So peaceful and full of love.
If I could spend each newborn session only photographing parents with their babies, I would do it in a heartbeat. Families love them, they almost always get printed for family members, and I get to sit back and watch parents in awe of the miracle they created.
He wasn't too sure about me. See that side eye? Haha!
How they're looking at one another. Those smiles; thinking about what they've created together.
And how they look at him. All while he looks right back at them.
Charlie decided he didn't want to sleep or be wrapped up anymore. We let him do his thing and discovered he loved the camera... and his hands!
Oh, just kidding. He DID decide to dose off long enough to gently place him in this cozy crate.
That pinky...
And those toes. I can't miss the chance to photograph some baby toes.
I loved photographing this sweet family before their baby arrived as well as seeing them again after Charlie was born. Thank you for letting me witness such a beautiful blessing in your lives Irwin family!

Central Ohio Extended Family Photography Session
Columbus Ohio Family Photographer
Ankur contacted me from out of state to schedule an extended family session for his entire family. A lot of them were traveling to Columbus for one weekend only to celebrate their father’s 80th birthday. They wanted to document it with a large family photo session with a summer feel. I was thrilled to schedule a session with them and we began planning the location and outfits right away.
