I met the L family in their Grove City, Ohio home to document their new baby boy, Whit. They chose an in-home, lifestyle newborn session because they love the look of lifestyle images of their family in their own home. They also liked the idea of having some more posed images of their baby on my studio fabrics and props. They chose to book my In-Home Newborn Session with Posed Baby Images, which is different than an In-Home Lifestyle Session. You receive an additional hour of time, more images of your baby using items I bring from my studio to your home, and additional images!
This isn’t the first time I’ve photographed the L family. I met them last October for fall family portraits when mom, Hayley, was newly pregnant with baby Whit. So when Hayley contacted me to document their new baby I was so thrilled! Big brother, Beau, was already comfortable with me when I arrived to their home because he remembered me from their fall photos!
I arrived to their home and took a peek in their family room, bedrooms and nursery. I actually set up all my props and newborn items in their dining room because it had the best lower window light. When posing baby in props and on my beanbag I look for windows that are lower to the ground for a softer light on baby. Baby Whit needed a quick feeding and then we started taking family, parent and sibling portraits in their master bedroom and glider. Their pup, Fiona, made her way into a few photos too! After some time in their upper level we went downstairs to take a few photos in their family room and front porch. After all the family photos were complete, baby Whit needed another feeding before starting his solo portraits. His parents were able to have lunch, change into comfy clothes and even put their older son down for a nap. All while I was working safely to capture images of their new baby boy.

Ankur contacted me from out of state to schedule an extended family session for his entire family. A lot of them were traveling to Columbus for one weekend only to celebrate their father’s 80th birthday. They wanted to document it with a large family photo session with a summer feel. I was thrilled to schedule a session with them and we began planning the location and outfits right away.
