Grove City, Ohio Photographer | Rainbow Bridge Session with Bubba | Columbus, Ohio Photographer

Kendra has been a dear friend of mine for ten whole years. I was there when she first met her now husband, Randy. Randy came with a package deal - a chocolate lab named Bubba. Each time I came to visit them Bubba was there at my feet ready for lovings. We would sip coffee at their kitchen table with Bubba at our feet taking a snooze... with the occasional need for scratches. Over the years, that hasn't changed one bit. 

Rick (my husband) and I met them at their home and were quickly greeted by a barking, tail-wagging Bubba. His tail wagged with delight, but his limp told a different story. I often go into homes wondering how a session will go. Whether a pet will even be up to being photographed. Each time I'm amazed at how happy pets become in my presence and how well they manage to get around despite the pain. I followed Bubba to his backyard where he followed me around with a zillion treaties in my hand. We enjoyed soaking up the evening sun together and the sunset didn't disappoint. 

Seriously love this one in black and white. He kept looking at his mama. 

His ears got all floppy for a split second. We all laughed so hard when I showed them this photo.

"Oh Dad, when did you get here?" 

Dad is his favorite. 

I was looking at my camera when we were wrapping things up, and then this happened. You are such a good boy Bubba.

Aging pets is one of those things you know is inevitable, but you avoid thinking about it until you absolutely have to think about it. What I hopefully gave to Kendra & Randy are not only precious photos of their sweet dog, but special memories that they can reminisce each time they look at these photographs.
